Quaint small bar not far from the royal mile. Listened to some live music. A guy and his guitar. This was a great start to a good evening . They ask you to be quiet due to the live music yet the people stood at the bar were still able to talk at an acceptable level :)

We were recommended this pub as one of the best to enjoy live folk music, and it did not disappoint. It was really nice to get to listen to at least three different singers, very closely (the pub is quite small). The atmosphere was brilliant, so we tried to repeat a couple of days after, which was on a Saturday, but then we found it was packed, so we tried Sandy Bell instead.

Awesome little place, stumbled into an open folk sing on a Wednesday afternoon.

The loveliest little folk music pub! I always make sure to visit whenever I'm in Edinburgh. Staff is always friendly, and there's usually a good mix of locals and tourists. There are live music sessions daily, often open ones where people are encouraged to sing a tune or perform something in general. Always worth a visit!
